ON OUR BIKES TO EXPO REAL: CA IMMO TEAM CYCLES TO REAL ESTATE TRADE FAIR IN MUNICH

CA Immo for the first time with its own booth at Expo Real

Vienna, 03 October 2012. Following last year’s successful premiere, a group from CA Immobilien Anlagen AG will once again set out to cycle from Vienna to Munich this year. A larger team of riders will tackle a new route, covering approximately 520km over five days. Aside from the sporting challenge it represents, the event will put the spotlight on teamwork and sustainability.

At 11.00 am on 3rd October, eleven CA Immo staff members will set out on the CA Immo Expo cycling tour for 2012. They will spend five days together in the saddle before arriving at their destination of Munich on 7th Oc-tober, having covered some 520 kilometres. They will be just in time to attend Expo Real, Europe’s largest trade fair for commercial real estate, which takes place from 8th-10th October. “We believe that tackling the tour together will be an experience that will bring us closer and make us a stronger team. That’s why we’re delighted that the number of participants has shot up this year, and that the event has a more international flavour. We also want to highlight the issues of environmental awareness and sustainability”, explained established team riders Gregor Drexler (head of Asset Management for the Group) and Robert Wolf, who is responsible for organisation.

Strong teams for long-term success
Three CA Immo asset and investment managers – Gregor Drexler, Robert Wolf and Christoph Buchgraber – will be on the start line again. This year, however, they will be part of a bigger team: they will be joined on the course by four colleagues from Vienna, two German staff, one CA Immo employee from Poland and former Chief Financial Officer Wolfhard Fromwald. Mindful of their motto ‘Strong teams for long-term success’, the sporting endeavour will provide an opportunity to promote and practise team spirit outside the office environment. Team members are already embarking on regular training rides after work, partly to prepare physically for the tour but also to enable the riders to come together and find common ground as a group through sport. “Covering 520 kilometres in five days is a challenge that motivates this team. We’re looking forward to it, and we have no doubt we’ll succeed”, agreed the riders.

The route: Vienna to Munich in five stages
Last year’s route took the cyclists along the Danube, but this time around there’s a more southerly feel to the event. On 3rd October, the riders will start out for Semmering, where they will spend their first night after com-pleting the first 95 kilometres. Day two, comprising 120 kilometres, will take the team through Leoben before skirting the eastern edge of the Gesäuse National Park and moving on to Hieflau. Stage three (115 kilometres) brings the riders to Bad Ischl in the Salzkammergut region, while day four will entail a 120-kilometre ride through Halfing to Lake Chiemsee in Bavaria. The fifth and final stage covers the last 70 kilometres to the destination of Munich.

CA Immo at Expo Real with its own booth
From 8th-10th October CA Immo will be represented with its own booth at the real estate trade fair Expo Real in Munich for the first time. The booth, which is located in hall C1, has the booth number C1.120. Furthermore CA Immo Germany is cooperating with booths of the German cities Berlin (B2.420), Frankfurt am Main (C1.230) and Düsseldorf (B1.210).
