Hedwig Höfler appointed Group Head of Investment Management

Hedwig Höfler (53) has taken over the newly created position of Group Head of Investment Management at CA Immo on February 1, 2024, expanding her existing responsibilities for Austria and CEE to include all transaction activity in Germany. She is thus taking over responsibilities covered by Christof Altendorfer, who simultaneously has left the company.

Keegan Viscius, CEO of CA Immo: "With over 20 years of cross-border transaction experience in complicated markets throughout all points of market cycle, Hedwig is perfectly positioned to lead our investment team as we continue our capital rotation program. She has proven her expertise in executing and managing large, complex transactions not only in Austria and the CEE markets, but also in CA Immo's largest single transaction to date, the €775m sale of Tower185 in Frankfurt. Her activities in Germany will now focus on the development and expansion of our high-quality portfolio in the core German markets of Berlin, Frankfurt, and Munich."

Hedwig Höfler, Group Head of Investment Management CA Immo: "I am delighted to be returning to the exciting German real estate market in addition to the Austrian and CEE markets. In line with our corporate strategy, we are currently selling plots in Munich, Düsseldorf and Berlin for residential/storage/datacenter/production use. On the acquisition side, we are interested in office buildings and office (re-)development projects in prime inner-city locations in Berlin, Munich, and Frankfurt. Thanks to our strong refurbishment and redevelopment expertise, properties at all stages of their life cycle are suitable for us, which we are upgrading for our premium office portfolio in line with our Manage to Core approach."

In line with the company´s capital rotation strategy, CA Immo sells assets that are not strategic in terms of location, sector, size and quality, and aims to acquire office buildings or plots in excellent locations in established and emerging German submarkets. The investment focus is on both old and modern office properties with value creation potential.

Hedwig Höfler has been working as an investment manager for CA Immo since 2011. As Head of Investment Management CEE and Austria from 2016, she was in charge of the evaluation and implementation of all real estate transactions in Austria and the CEE region. In this role, she has led about 60 transactions totalling €2.9bn in total volume and has executed the strategic exit from seven non-core countries – including the platform sale of Romania in 2022, the largest single real estate deal in Romania´s history. Prior to that, from 2002 she was responsible for investment and asset management at Europolis GmbH, a former subsidiary of Volksbanken AG, which has been part of the CA Immo Group since 2011. Ms. Höfler holds an academic degree in spatial planning from the Vienna University of Technology.
