Arnulfpark, Munich: NEW TENANTS FOR THE SKYGARDEN

CA Immo has signed another lease for its SKYGARDEN office building in Arnulfpark, Munich for around 1,450 m² (15,608 sq. ft).

 

• Platinion signs lease for approx. 1,450 m² (15,608 sq. ft.)
• Occupancy rises to 76 per cent
• UniCredit assumes financing for building

From autumn 2012 the Green Building will serve as main base for the IT consultancy Platinion GmbH, a subsidiary of the Boston Consulting Group (BCG). It sees occupancy of the recently completed office tower rise to 76 per cent. Financing of the SKYGARDEN complex to the tune of 65 million euros is being handled by UniCredit Bank AG (HypoVereinsbank). The SKYGARDEN is part of CA Immo’s property portfolio.


“What tipped the scales for us was the forward-looking general concept for the building and the altogether modern and fresh surroundings in Arnulfpark and its central location within the city,” says Peter Löffler, Managing Director of Platinion GmbH, on the decision to lease part of the SKYGARDEN.


Maria-Teresa Dreo, Director of Real Estate Germany at HypoVereinsbank, also praises the concept and the building’s market position: “We are proud to have financed this property, which is not only attractive, but innovative too. There is no doubt that Green Buildings will come to corner more of the market, not least because of rising energy prices. Sustainability is not the only issue here; it also gives us a decisive competitive edge.”


Designed by architect Bothe Richter Teherani (BRT), the SKYGARDEN office building is next to Munich’s Hackerbrücke and is an impressive build-up to the adjacent Arnulfpark district. Other tenants of the building, which occupies a total of 34,000 m² (365,973 sq. ft.) in gross floor area, include auditors and consultants PwC AG (PricewaterhouseCoopers), IMS Health GmbH & Co. OHG and legal practice Dechert LLP.
Colliers Schauer & Schöll acted as brokers in concluding the lease with Platinion GmbH.
