Vivico acquires omniCon Group

Frankfurt, July 8, 2008 Vivico has today acquired construction management specialist omniCon Holding GmbH. Founded in 2001, omniCon manages complex building projects from the initial idea, planning, realization, and handover to the follow-up support via the two companies omniPro Gesellschaft Projektmanagement mbH and omniCon Gesellschaft für innovatives Bauen mbH.

Bernhard H. Hansen, CEO of Vivico, commented on the purchase as follows: "We plan to invest € 2 billion over the next four years and are delighted that by purchasing omniCon we will be able to count on the expertise of a highly motivated and functioning construction management team." From a strategic point of view, omniCon will remain unchanged in terms of its structure and identity: "OmniCon will assist Vivico, but will continue to offer its proven services on the market," says Hansen. The Chief Technical Officer Ulrich Bollwerk stressed that with Tower 185 and the Grand Hyatt, Vivico is currently developing two skyscrapers in Frankfurt's Europaviertel alone. Added to this, are the boulevard with apartments and offices, as well as the Skyline plaza shopping and congress centre, which are currently under construction. "OmniCon's expertise will help us to accompany this growth from the construction and planning side," says Bollwerk.
For Prof. Uwe Frerichs, managing director of OmniCon, the acquisition through Vivico represents a positive strategic development: "We will be able to participate directly in the growth of Vivico, while at the same time expanding our existing business," explains Frerichs. "This offers both the company and its employees stable, long-term prospects."
