Topping-out ceremony for the first residential building on the Boulevard

Frankfurt, 3 December 2008 Today in the Europaviertel a topping-out ceremony was held for the first residential building on the Boulevard. It is anticipated that the first tenants can begin moving into the 187 flats in the first half of 2009.

On the southern boulevard, on the corner of Warschauer Strasse, the structural work for the first residential building has been completed. Together with the investor, Bayerische Apothekerversorgung, represented by the Bayerische Versorgungskammer (BVK), the developer, Vivico and the construction crew celebrated the topping-out ceremony. The topping-out wreath was raised in the building's interior courtyard. Here a sheltered, green area will be developed, providing a relaxation area for future residents. Vivico will complete the building in spring of 2009 and hand it over to the investor when it is ready for occupancy.
The modern, timeless architecture of the U-shaped ensemble was designed by Jo. Franzke Architekten, Frankfurt. The premium façade is currently covered in natural stone. A total of 187 flats (97 two-room flats, 55 three-room flats, 22 one-room flats; 9 four-room flats and 4 lofts) will be developed on seven storeys. Several of the flats have been designed to accommodate senior citizens and disabled residents. All flats have either balconies or patios. Furthermore, a total of 400 m2 (4,306 ft2) of representative shopping and restaurant space will be developed on the ground floor. 200 underground parking garage spaces also belong to the building ensemble.
