New Business Centre at Moosach, Munich

Munich, 18 September 2007 - The draft development plan competition run by Vivico Real Estate in cooperation with the City of Munich and Moosach District Council for a new Business Centre at Moosach Rail Station has now been concluded with the presentation of the prizewinners.
The jury, chaired by architect Severin Maurer, awarded first prize to the joint venture between Yes Architecture (Graz, Austria & Munich) and realgrün landscape architects (Munich).  Second prize was awarded to the design submitted by Spreen Architects in conjunction with terra.nova landscape architects, both from Munich. Third place went to Robert Meyer Architects and Victoria von Gaudecker (Munich) with ver.de landscape architects (Freising).
The competition briefing was to design a draft development plan for the area adjoining Moosach station. Vivico is planning to construct a new business centre with hotel and retail units with a total floor area of 23,000 m2. The tendering architects were asked to consider not only the architecture of the building complex but also the landscaping and urban development of this area. On the basis of the completed draft development plan the City will now push ahead with the creation of a full development plan.
Vivico will present the competition designs from 21 September to 5 October 2007 on the ground floor of Munich's City Planning and Regulations Offices, Blumenstraße 28 B, 80331 Munich. The exhibition will be open to the public from Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In addition to the three prize-winning designs, all other entries to the competition will also be shown.
