Müller-BBM and the Deutscher Kinderschutzbund Bundesverband lease Königliche Direktion in Berlin

Berlin 2008/05/08 - Müller-BBM has negotiated a tenancy agreement with Vivico for an office area of approx. 1600 m² in the Königliche Direktion offices in Berlin-Kreuzberg. From September 2008 the internationally operating engineering company, which employs around 250 people in offices across Germany, will consolidate its two existing locations in Berlin in the Königliche Direktion. The company offers consultation, testing and planning services for buildings and premises with an emphasis on the prevention of air pollution, pollution control and also in engineering and commodities.
The Deutscher Kinderschutzbund Bundesverband e. V. (DKSB - German Child Protection Agency) has also negotiated a tenancy agreement for premises which have an area of around 370m². The federal association, which has to date been based in Hanover, will relocate its offices from July 2008 to the capital, Berlin.
The conclusion of these tenancy contracts - in which Engel & Völkers Berlin acted as intermediaries for Müller-BBM and CB Richard Ellis Berlin acted on behalf of the DKSB - means that Königliche Direktion is now fully let. The historic office building located opposite Potsdamer Platz has a leasable area of around 25,000 m² in total, divided into two sections.  The front section is located on the Landwehr Canal and has an area of around 15,000 m²; it is completely leased out to Bombardier Transportation.
Now that these tenancy contracts have been concluded, Vivico Berlin will vacate its own offices in the Königliche Direktion and move into the Jo20 building in Joachimsthaler Strasse in Berlin-Charlottenburg, where they will have 800 m² of office space. The Jo20 building is part of the portfolio of CA Immo, who are Vivico associates.
