Frankfurt: Building of CA Immo and ECE gets Gold DGNB-Pre-Certification

The Messe Frankfurt’s congress center Kap Europa, which is being developed by ECE and CA Immo as part of the Skyline Plaza large-scale project in Frankfurt’s Europaviertel district, has been awarded with a Pre-Certificate in Gold by the German Sustainable Building Council for its high ecological standards. Important criterions for the assessment of the congress center were, among others, the primary energy demand of less than 26 % compared with the EnEV (Energy Saving Ordinance) 2009 as well as the building’s high-quality roof design. Kap Europa is the first congress center ever that has been awarded with a DGNB Pre-Certificate in Gold.

Kap Europa is being constructed at the same time as the neighboring shopping and entertainment center Skyline Plaza. Skyline Plaza is scheduled to open in August 2013; the first conferences will take place in Kap Europa in 2014. With an overall capacity of 2,400 people high flexibility will be provided. On four levels there will be a hall for 1,000 people, a separable hall for 600 people as well 12 further conference rooms.
