CA Immo lets 5,000 m² in Munich’s planned MY.O office building

CA Immo has signed a lease for approx. 5,000 m² in the planned MY.O office building in Munich’s, Nymphenburg district. The tenant is the international consulting firm Ecovis. After completion at the end of 2019, the MY.O building will have a total of around 25,000 m² of rental space. Construction is scheduled to start as early as summer 2017. Colliers International helped Ecovis with its search.

Ecovis Managing Director Dr. Ferdinand Rüchardt: “With our new offices in the MY.O building, we will be able to combine our two Munich offices at one central and accessible location. What convinced us was the building’s location as well as the refreshingly unusual architecture and the modern layout and floor concept. This will enable us to achieve an office design that is tailored to our needs.”

Tobias Jauch, Head of CA Immo Munich: “After recently starting construction of our office and hotel high-rise NEO in the east of Munich, we are now about to start work on a further office building in a prime, central location and thus making the much-needed rental space available to Munich's tight office market. The two buildings will enable us to satisfy even larger rental requests that are currently not available in Munich. Although the architecture of the two buildings couldn’t be more different, they are conceptually related and follow our central idea of not allowing the urbanity and the life of the city to end at the façade, but continuing it inside the building.”

The building planned by Maier. Neuberger. Architekten in the Munich district of Nymphenburg is located in the immediate vicinity of the suburban train station Laim on Munich’s main line. The five- to six-storey building ensemble consists of a prominent main building with three additional adjoining buildings along the railway axis, as well as a further solitary building slightly set back from the main ensemble. The building’s architecture is characterised by the arched, two-storey windows in the lower and upper floors and the striking green façade and consciously utilises the style of industrial buildings from the 19th and early 20th century. This is continued in the lofty, spacious layout. The building concept is therefore particularly suited to the drastically changing requirements of modern office and working concepts. The focus is on maximum flexibility in terms of room utilisation combined with a highly efficient use of space, as well as a wide range of informal places to communicate, meet and work.”

As with all of CA Immo’s office building designs, the MY.O building will be constructed as a Green Building in adherence to strict sustainability criteria. The aim is to achieve DGNB gold certification. The project is scheduled for completion by the end of 2019.
