BEARING POINT RENTS IN MUNICH’S SKYGARDEN

CA Immo has concluded additional lease agreements for the SKYGARDEN office building in Munich’s Arnulfpark.

The internationally operating consultancy BearingPoint will be leasing around 1,730 sqm in the building. In addition, leases were signed with BohnZirlewagen Prozess- und Managementberatung für Immobilien for around 286 sqm as well as with a company in the IT sector for around 380 sqm. With the conclusion of these leases, the building’s occupancy rate has now reached 90%.

BearingPoint, a specialist in management and technology consulting, is relocating its Munich branch with around 200 employees to Arnulfpark. “In selecting our new site in Munich, decisive factors included the entrepreneurial environment in Arnulfpark as well as the high architectural quality of the SKYGARDEN building. Another important aspect was the ideal connection to the public transport and road network”, said Peter Niedermayer, Branch Manager at BearingPoint Munich. BearingPoint has eight branches in Germany and a total of 1,400 employees.

Located directly by Munich’s Hackerbrücke (Hacker Bridge), the SKYGARDEN office building was conceived and realised as a green building. The auditing and consulting firm PwC AG (PricewaterhouseCoopers) is the primary building tenant. The building was designed by architects Bothe Richter Teherani (BRT). The most prominent feature of the building are the large winter gardens that encompass several floors. These not only improve the climatic conditions, but also optimise the building’s energy performance. LEED Gold certification is currently being prepared.

In recent years, numerous international companies have taken up residence in CA Immo’s Arnulfpark development. They include the pharmaceutical company Bristol-Myers Squibb, the auditing and consulting company Ernst & Young, and Altran, a consulting company specialising in high technology.
