Austrian EXPO Real-cyclists on the way again

Twenty-eight real estate managers from 19 Austrian property companies cycling 580 kilometres to EXPO Real in Munich

The Expo cycling tour for 2018 is due to start on Wednesday 3rd October. For what is now the eighth time, Austrian property professionals will set out to cycle to EXPO Real in Munich under the name ‘Equipe EXPO’. This time, they will be starting in Padua. Four days and 580 kilometres later on 7th October, having reached altitudes of 12,000 metres, the teams will reach their destination of Munich where Expo Real, Europe’s biggest real estate fair, takes place from 8th-10th October. This year, the team will include a total of 28 managers from 19 reputable businesses active in Austria’s real estate sector. Alongside such investors and developers as CA Immo, 6B47, Unibail-Rodamco, ARE and ÖBB-Immobilienmanagement GmbH, employees of brokerage firms such as Colliers, JP Immobilien, EHL, KS Ingenieure and other real estate players will climb into the saddle. This year’s route extends from Padua to Belluno, Bozen, Innsbruck and passes through Murnau before reaching Munich.

According to Markus Kuttner, Head of Real Estate Business Operations CA Immo, “The joint cycling tour is catching the imagination of more and more employees in the sector. It is not just a love of cycling and teamwork that unites us, but also our dedication to real estate. This is a good basis for undertaking successful projects in partnership!”

As Peter Ulm, CEO Real Estate Investors AG, continues, “The idea we came up with eight years ago has become a tradition. For those taking part, the ride to Munich is a warm-up for the Expo Real event. The Equipe Expo team has evolved into a community that transcends professional boundaries to meet sporting challenges together.”

The focus this year will be on the Althan Quartier urban development project in Vienna as well as international expansion in Germany and Poland. Once again, CBRE (A1.210) and CA Immo (C1.323) will have their own stands at the EXPO event; the latter will be presenting its large-scale international urban development and office projects. ÖBB-Immobilienmanagement GmbH will also be unveiling major urban development projects at the joint Vienna/Central Europe stand (A1.110). These projects are linked to Vienna’s main station and the Nordbahnhof site as well as sites of special interest to logistics companies.
