Living at the waterfront
CA Immo and UBM Development Deutschland GmbH are developing two construction sites with a focus on residential use in the northern part of the Zollhafen Mainz (Mainz Customs Quarter) under the names Flösserhof and Kaufmannshof. An architectural competition was held for the plots in 2017. The winner of the Kaufmannshof competition was Meck Architeken from Munich. For the Flösserhof blauraum Architects from Hamburg was awarded with the first prize.
These building plots are located directly next to the harbour basin and will be surrounded by canals after completion. The architecture of both building complexes is characterised by a brick façade and thus refers to the history and historical architecture of the former Mainz customs harbour. A total of around 150 freehold apartments will be built on the two building plots. On the Kaufmannshof construction site, around 3,000 square meters of rental space will also be created for office use. The Construction of the Kaufmannshof started in July 2020, the construction of Flösserhof in mid-2021.
CA Immo and UBM Development have sold the Kaufmannshof project development to a German family office in summer 2022.
