CA Immo lets 9,300 sqm in Bucharest office project

Bitdefender, a global Internet security software company, is renting 9,300 sqm of office space in the Orhideea Towers project in Bucharest for a minimum term of five years. Developed by CA Immo and comprising 37,000 sqm of gross rentable floor space, the project will be completed in the first half year of 2018. Conclusion of this leasing contract brings the pre-leasing rate to approximately 65%. The total investment volume is €75 m.

From May 2018, the Romanian Internet security software company Bitdefender will occupy at least 9,300 sqm, respectively 4 floors of Orhideea Towers for its global headquarters. The contract will run for at least five years with an extension option. Taking the 8,000 sqm lease contract with the financial software company Misys, which signed up in March 2016, into account, the pre-leasing rate stands at around 65%.

According to Frank Nickel, Chief Executive Officer of CA Immo, “We´re happy to welcome Bitdefender as a new tenant in our portfolio. The development of Orhideea Towers is enabling us to complement our top-tier tenant base and, at the same time, meet the expansion plans of our existing tenants, many of whom are long-standing partners. With this project we are consolidating our local market position while adding another class A structure to our fully let asset portfolio in Bucharest.”
