Berlin, 28 October 2015   Joint-Venture-partner CA Immo and Hamburg Team have sold four residential plots in the urban district development Europacity near the Berlin main railway station. Buyer of the plots is the Hamburg-based company Richard Ditting GmbH & Co. KG. Around 550 apartments will be developed on these construction sites; the building rights have already been granted.

With this transaction, CA Immo continues the profitable utilisation of the German land reserves. The trading income will flow mainly in the development of high-quality office properties in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt. Recently, CA Immo started construction of an office building for the auditing company KPMG in Berlin Europacity.

About the urban district development Europacity

CA Immo – as the largest real estate owner in Europacity – is developing the area, which covers over 40 hectares (98 acres), into a vibrant, mixed-use quarter in cooperation with the State of Berlin. Several office and hotel buildings have already been constructed in Europacity in recent years. Many of them, such as the office buildings Tour Total, John F. Kennedy Haus and Monnet 4 as well as the InterCityHotel, were developed by CA Immo. CA Immo sold other plots to investors such as 50Hertz, the Steigenberger Group, Ernst Basler und Partner and the Groth Group. Further office and hotel buildings have been developed or are currently being constructed on these plots. For the development of the – now sold - residential plots, CA Immo and Hamburg Team held an architecture competition in cooperation with the Senatsverwaltung für Stadtentwicklung (Senate Department for Urban Development and the Environment) back in 2012.
