CA Immo sells IntercityHotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof
CA Immo has successfully sold the IntercityHotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof on Washingtonplatz. The property was sold at a premium to the book value.
Keegan Viscius, CEO of CA Immo: “With the successful sale of the IntercityHotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof, we are consistently implementing our portfolio strategy, which is geared towards a clear focus on high-quality office properties in central locations on our core markets. We use the proceeds from sales such as this one to reinvest them in our organic development pipeline with the aim of achieving a higher return, to cover the company's ongoing liquidity requirements or to make selective external investments when attractive opportunities arise.”
The IntercityHotel Berlin Hauptbahnhof, developed by CA Immo in Berlin's Europacity and completed in 2013, is located on Katharina-Paulus-Strasse and has a net floor area of around 20,600 m² with 412 hotel rooms and 10 meeting rooms. The building was developed by CA Immo in compliance with strict sustainability standards and was the first hotel to be awarded a platinum certificate by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
P+P Pöllath + Partners Rechtsanwälte & Steuerberater and Eastdil Secured advised CA Immo on the transaction.
