CA Immo concludes further lease agreement in Munich's NEO office project

Munich, 22.04.2021 – CA Immo has concluded a 10-year lease agreement with WRC Promoter GmbH for approx. 1,000 m² of office space in the NEO office and hotel tower in Munich. After concluding this lease, the NEO building is now around 70% let. CA Immo's investment volume amounts to some 68 million euros. CBRE Germany acted as advisor in the conclusion of the lease agreement.

The NEO office and hotel tower in Munich has a total of around 8,900 m² of office space and is centrally located and at the same time conveniently situated directly next to the Berg am Laim S-Bahn station in the east of Munich. The NEO building complex designed by the renowned architects at UNStudio forms a highly visible centrepiece for the new Baumkirchen Mitte Quarter.

Norbert Stangelmayer, Head of CA Immo Munich: "This lease agreement also shows that east Munich has now established itself as one of the state capital's most popular business locations. Companies like WRC, which were previously headquartered in typical city centre locations, benefit here from the excellent transport infrastructure, as well as the innovative and creative charm of the developments around the Ostbahnhof and the Werksviertel."

Jona Siebel, Managing Director of WRC Promoter GmbH in Munich, adds: "Speed and innovation are among our company's guiding principles. That is why the rapidly developing east Munich not only suits us, but we are also looking forward to this avant-garde, innovative office tower. In addition, the Baumkirchen Mitte quarter with its integrated landscape park and our exclusive roof terrace offers our employees a level of quality that is certainly unique in Munich."

WRC Promoter GmbH was founded in 2013 by Red Bull Media House and the sportsman media group. The company is responsible for the worldwide marketing activities of the World Rally Championship. WRC Promoter GmbH will move into its new offices in NEO in the summer of 2021.

The NEO building ensemble consists of a six-storey base building with 50 high-end flats (NEO Living) and a hotel and office tower standing at around 60 metres high. In line with its strategic focus on high-end commercial buildings, CA Immo had already successfully sold NEO Living to BMO Real Estate Partners Germany in October 2020. CA Immo has concluded a lease agreement with Tristar, for the first six floors of the Tower, which will operate a 143-room Hampton by Hilton hotel there. On the upper floors of the tower, NEO offers modern office space with around 8,900 m² of rental space. Of this, around 3,500 m² was already let to the Institute for Federal Real Estate (Bun-desanstalt für Immobilienaufgaben, BImA) in December 2020.
