CA Immo lets 15,000 sqm on Schöneberger Ufer in Berlin

• As from August, the Institute for Federal Real Estate (BImA) will be renting 15,000 sqm of floor space at Schöneberger Ufer 1-3 for a term of at least 10 years.

• Seamless letting of the entire portfolio building will boost the average rent and expiry profile of the CA Immo asset portfolio.

 

According to Guido Schütte, head of CA Immo Berlin, “We are delighted with this full and seamless new letting of the Schöneberger Ufer building to BImA. The contract will raise our rental revenue while consolidating the strong position of CA Immo on Berlin’s flourishing office market. The strategy of offering all tenants made-to-measure products ensures we benefit from attractive rental agreements with reputable businesses over the long term. That goes for the Europacity urban development project in Berlin as well as our portfolio buildings.”

The former office building of Berlin’s Königliche Eisenbahndirektion at Schöneberger Ufer 1–3 is a listed structure built between 1893 and 1896. It offers rentable space of approximately of 15,000 sqm. Located on the Landwehr Canal, the prestigious building was extensively renovated and modernised in the neo-Renaissance style between 2002 and 2006. The premises will be handed over to the new tenant on 1st August 2017; the lease agreement was concluded for 10 years, with an option to extend.
