Berlin, 30.07.2024 - Europacity around Berlin Central Station is about to undergo an exciting development. Under the programmatic title "Europacity Vibes", a new hub for culinary delights, artistic projects, diverse leisure activities and entertainment will be created here from 1 August. Over the coming months, CA Immo's initiative is planning a wide range of offers and a varied programme at various locations in the quarter for all people who work or live here and for all Berliners. The aim of the initiative is to discover the young Europacity as a lively, culturally oriented urban neighbourhood with short distances and to develop it further in the long term with additional offers.

Europacity, which is still in its infancy, has developed into a popular residential and business location in the capital in recent years. Situated between Nordhafen harbour, the main railway station and Spreebogen, the district scores points with its central location, excellent transport links and wide range of offers for everyday life. With "Europacity Vibes", the quarter will now become the venue for exciting art activities, events and leisure activities over the next few months. CA Immo's initiative brings fresh, typically Berlin life to the quarter and offers a wide range of events for different target and age groups. This claim was already evident during the construction of the centre on Europaplatz, where children from the neighbouring "Neues Tor" primary school actively helped out as part of an urban gardening event.

The Europacity Vibes kick off and centre on Europaplatz with a large tent, a stage, food trucks and seating areas that invite you to linger. Whether it's breakfast with a delicious café or tea speciality or a lunch break with changing offers from trendy food trucks such as "Surfin' Cheese" or "Birds in the Kitchen" - Europaplatz will be transformed into a new, lively centre of the quarter over the coming weeks and months. This also includes yoga classes by "Green Yoga Berlin" (www.greenyoga.co) in the early morning (for the first time on 6 August 2024, 8 a.m.) before the first office meeting or salsa dance classes run by Cumbancha (www.cumbancha.de) at afterwork (for the first time on 22 and 27 August 2024).

The central stage offers young Berlin bands the opportunity to perform or becomes the venue for a poetry slam. For example, on 16 August 2024, from 7 p.m., when the Kiezpoeten (www.kietzpoeten.com) will gather here and will certainly not only inspire die-hard poetry fans.

But Europaplatz also transforms into a weekly market or an alternative clothes flea market with an evening fashion show on Wednesdays - for the first time on 7 August 2024 - between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., with changing regional offerings. A diverse offering, however, with the potential to bring a real neighbourhood feel to the young district.

Europacity is one of the most ambitious and exciting urban development projects in Germany. Within just a few years, a completely new urban district has been created around Berlin's main railway station. Architecturally spectacular office buildings such as the cube berlin on Washingtonplatz and the Einz high-rise building on Europaplatz characterise the quarter, as do the numerous hotels, restaurants and cafés, as well as the residential buildings on the Spandauer Schifffahrtskanal. The internationally renowned Museum für Gegenwart in the Hamburger Bahnhof and the Rieckhallen has been the cultural centre of the new quarter, which has been built on the former container station over the last 15 years, from the outset. CA Immo recognised this importance early on, even before any construction activities, and developed the Kunstcampus in the immediate vicinity of the museum. Some of the capital's most renowned galleries found a temporary home here in the 2010s. CA Immo is now picking up on this pop-up tradition again with the "Europacity Vibes" and will enable a colourful programme of art, culture, leisure and sporting activities on as yet unused spaces, some of which will also become established in the long term, making the district appear more urban and vibrant.
