German subsidiary Vivico Real Estate GmbH now integrated into the CA Immo Group at Management Board level

Bernhard H. Hansen, currently the Chief Executive Officer of CA Immo’s German subsidiary Vivico Real Estate GmbH, has been appointed as Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at CA Immo as of October 1^st, 2009. As he joins Dr. Bruno Ettenauer (CEO) and Wolfhard Fromwald (CFO) on the Management Boards of CA Immobilien Anlagen AG and CA Immo International AG, he takes responsibility for all development activities within the Group. Mr. Hansen will continue to act as chairman for Vivico Real Estate GmbH.

In the words of Dr. Bruno Ettenauer, “We are delighted that Bernhard H. With the proficiency he possesses, he will make a significant contribution to the successful long-term expansion of our top-quality property portfolio.”

Mr. Hansen will oversee the Group’s full range of development activities in his capacity as the CTO at CA Immo; his field will also cover the Group’s technical units and the German branches of CA Immo. His period of office has been agreed to the end of September 2012; the contracts of the Board members Bruno Ettenauer and Wolfhard Fromwald have also been extended to this date.

The 55-year-old real estate expert will contribute decades of experience in project business to the CA Immo Group. Mr. Hansen managed his first real estate projects with Strabag Bau AG, the United States Army Corps of Engineers and other organisations; he also headed the construction department of the European Space Agency. He joined Deutsche Bank AG in 1992, where he took charge of project development for a subsidiary company. From 1996 onwards he served on the management boards of Deutsche Interhotel Holding GmbH & Co. KG and other companies, including DB Immobilien. He joined the executive board of DB Station & Service AG in 2000. Bernhard H. Hansen became the chairman of the Vivico Management Board on 1st January 2006.

Mr. Hansen is also the chairman of the Urban Land Institute Germany (ULI), where he plays a leading role in the area of sustainable project and urban development. In addition, he serves on the supervisory board of Bulwien Gesa AG, the steering committee of the Zentraler Immobilien Ausschuss (ZIA) and the advisory councils of Eurohypo AG (in Germany) and the IREBS business school. He is married with four daughters.
