Simon Schulze Wischeler
Simon Schulze Wischeler - Development Analyst CAID

You only started as a student in the Development Team Frankfurt at CA Immo on 1 February 2023. How has your career progressed from student to Development Analyst | Real Estate Development Manager so far?
During my first year, I was mainly involved in the ONE high-rise project development in Frankfurt. I was able to gain valuable experience and gradually take on more responsibility. After completing my studies, I was given the opportunity to get more involved in project management and tenant development at ONE as a Real Estate Development Manager. In this role, I took on a wide range of tasks for around six months, in particular coordinating with internal and external partners. I have now been working as a Development Analyst for six months - my focus is increasingly on analytical and strategic project development issues at company level, which I am able to drive forward with experienced colleagues such as Martin Löcker (Group Head of Development), Christoph Jakoby (Head of Real Estate Development Frankfurt) and Michael Kötter (Head of Real Estate Development Berlin).
What interfaces do you have with other departments in your work as a Development Analyst?
As a Development Analyst, I am a central interface between the development teams in Berlin, Munich and Frankfurt. At the same time, I work closely with Asset Management to integrate aspects of future building operation into the projects at an early stage. I also prepare and analyze company-wide data together with Controlling to enable well-founded decisions to be made.
How does CA Immo differ from your other employers in the past?
CA Immo stands out above all for its size and clear structures, which helped me to familiarize myself quickly with procedures and processes. At the same time, the projects are particularly impressive, as they are mostly large-volume developments in central locations. In addition, the strong networking in the industry promotes exchange with various market players and provides valuable insights beyond one's own area of activity.
What challenges do you see in your working environment at CA Immo?
One of the biggest challenges in project development is the variety of tasks and parties involved. Numerous processes are constantly running in parallel, which requires close coordination with various internal and external partners. At the same time, the framework conditions in the real estate sector are constantly changing – be it due to economic developments, new market requirements or the increasing focus on ESG and digitalization. This dynamic brings with it both new opportunities and growing demands.
